british isles

Welcome to my travels in the British Isles, a geographical name incorporating the Great Britain countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland but also neighbouring Ireland and the UK Dependency islands of the Isle of Man and Channel Islands. My experiences in this wonderful Isle range from clambering over the iconic hexagonal basalt columns of the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, to hiking to the summit of Mount Snowdon in Wales, from backpacking around the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, to beholding the iconic and enigmatic sarsons of Stonehenge in England.
