Beyond its cuckoo-clocks, chocolates and yodelling, Switzerland is a rugged land of awesome Alpine mountains and even more awesome railway journeys. Switzerland is an easy and rewarding place to be a traveller. Choose from my separate journeys in Switzerland.
basel & sargans
Liechtenstein has no airport and so the most well-trodden route is through Switzerland. This lead me on a solo adventure to the Swiss city of Basel in the north and out to Sargans at its eastern border.
zurich & schaffhausen
This was an autumnal double city break in northern Switzerland, taking in the Swiss financial centre of Zurich and out to the town of Schaffhausen, home to Europe's largest waterfall: the Rhine Falls.
